2016 Hope Hospice Invitational

Every September it is our pleasure to work with Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island on their annual Golf Invitational held on Sakonnet Golf Club’s gorgeous grounds. This tournament is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year and for the past five years we have had the pleasure of working closely with this organization to cater the event.

We took a different approach to the menu this year in comparison to the tournaments we’ve catered in the past. We designed a menu composed entirely of passed appetizers and passed sliders for the golfers to nosh on post-invitational.

Newport Vineyards Styled Shoot

We recently got together with some of our industry friends from The Savory Affair, Blueflash Photography, The Local Bouquet, and Newport Vineyards to work on a really fun styled shoot. The typical styled shoot in this industry focuses on the Bride-To-Be, featuring current wedding themes and styling, elegant bridal showers, and even post-wedding baby celebrations. While we love these kinds of shoots, as a collective we decided on a different angle for this project. We wanted to focus on the corporate angle to all of our businesses, which is a less common subject when it comes to a styled shoot. Continue reading “Newport Vineyards Styled Shoot”

Our DIY Bride

Greetings! We’re slowly making our way toward the end of wedding season (2 more to go!) and while we haven’t had the time to sit down and share all of the awesome events we’ve had the pleasure of catering we wanted to take this brief moment of air and feature a really awesome DIY bride we were able to work with back in September.

Whitney and Jay tied the knot on the gorgeous grounds at The Meeting House in Tiverton, RI surrounded by close friends and family. They we’re blessed with a beautiful end-of-summer day which only enhanced the stunning appearance of Whitney’s hard work on her decor and tablescapes. Continue reading “Our DIY Bride”

Seven Stars Holiday Party

As caterers, we work in almost any space imaginable. We’ve worked out of hallways, basements, farms, and fields. Recently, we catered a plated dinner for our friends over at Seven Stars Bakery as a belated holiday party for their staff – in what was probably the most awesome venue we’ve worked in … a bowling alley!

The Seven Stars group hosted their Holiday Party at Break Time Bowl and Bar, a restored bowling alley located in Hope Artiste Village. We set up a long, family-style table for the group to sit at for dinner, in between Passed Hors D’oeuvre’s and Passed Desserts. Continue reading “Seven Stars Holiday Party”

Jacquart Champagne Dinner

We recently had the opportunity to participate in a series of really awesome Champagne Dinners featuring Champagne Jacquart in collaboration with The Savory Affair, Magnum Wines International, and Preston Layne & Partners.

Did you know?

Champagne is primarily made of three grape varietals? Yup, it’s true. Champagne is only made with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay grapes. Continue reading “Jacquart Champagne Dinner”

Molly & Wendy

We moved into our Cafe, located in a restored mill, about two years ago thinking it would be the perfect spot to offer to our clientele as an option for a venue for their events. While that has proven true, we were waiting with much anticipation for someone to want to host their wedding here. In September, our wish was granted with a lovely couple that wished to host not only their wedding reception here, but a small second ceremony as well!
