For those of you that aren’t native to Rhode Island, Eat Drink RI is a festival held each year that showcases the best of the culinary world that Rhode Island has to offer – I like to refer to it as a “Locavore’s Heaven.”
Our crew at Easy Entertaining takes great pride in being a part of this festival each year. This year, there is a festival event called “The Rhode Island Chef’s Feast” in which eight Johnson & Wales culinary graduates are each paired with a Johnson & Wales Chef to create a dish for a multi course meal. Chef Ashley was paired with Chef Valeria Molinelli, and this morning they started testing some potential dishes for the dinner.
Both Chefs wanted to do a pasta dish – so they tested out some potential gnocchi options. Check out their dishes below!
Their second dish was a combination of house made beed and sweet potato gnocchi – also served with Rhode Island Mushroom Company‘s maitake mushrooms, pea greens, and Narragansett Creamery ricotta. As a garnish, they utilized crispy kale from Schartner Farms.
